Mental Health Loves Physical Activity
Mental Health Loves Physical Activity!
Who We Are
We are team 7 of Ms. Sharon Jolenes’ Fall class of 2022. Our research topic is about physical activity and how it affects depression and anxiety. In the research, we show different physical activities
(running and yoga) as a few of the physical activities and the effects, it has on depression and anxiety.
According to the CDC, about 1 in every 2 people (50%) will be diagnosed with some form of mental illness in their lifetime. The research we are examining will help determine if physical activity can be used as a means of medication to help combat mental illnesses in these people.
